The Trouble with Goats and Sheep

by Joanna Cannon

My recommendation if you’re looking for a feel-good book that’s quirky and charming without being trite. Set in England in 1976 on the Avenue, where a close knit community is rocked at the sudden disappearance of Mrs. Creasy. Two little girls set out to solve the mystery on their own by going door to door in search of clues. Led by observing the ways of the local vicar and detective, their search uncovers everyone is hiding something, and that healing beings with acceptance.
